March Madness
Blog#12
Saturday, March 28- Happy Birthday Stu Man!!
My natural inclination is to downplay the severity of things. That’s just my personality. And the purpose of the blog was/is to bring some levity to the current situation due to this pandemic. But the blog is also an avenue to share important information with people I love. Our friend Franny Dean is a great young lady out in Seattle doing great work for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation related to creating a data driven platform to understand the Covid 19 virus’ impact. Please check out:
https://covid19.healthdata.org/
If you click on the United States button you can look up your respective state and the projections the math models are showing. The information is pretty sobering.
A few blogs ago I commented that there are a lot of really smart people working on this and Franny is one of them- great work!
Meanwhile the outpouring of generosity to help combat Covid-19 contnues:
— Drew Brees is giving $5 Million to help provide meals and assistance to people who need it in Louisiana
— NBA, MLB, NHL & NFL players are paying the salaries of stadium employees.
— Celebrity musicians and actors are donating millions and millions.
In short, there is good stuff happening.
Now for a little levity, see the attached commentary on golf from my brother aka Bunker Bob:
